There are so many people out there teaching guitar - especially online - some good, and some not so good. There is a world of difference between someone who can play well and someone who can teach effectively. One of the most valuable lessons I've learned is how important it is to establish the capability of the student before effective learning and improvement can succeed.
All my students are aptitude tested, whether they realise it or not. This gives me the advantage I need to make sure every student progresses at a pace that is comfortable and achievable.
We all learn at a different pace, with different stimuli, so the most important thing is being able to write and compose customised exercises for my students - and to adapt the material to help overcome technical difficulties that others may find easy.

In a single lesson, my students often make more progress than in weeks of solo practice. That's because practising is a skill that needs to be learned over time, there are lots of variables to consider.
What excites me the most? Guiding students through the technical and musical hurdles that may have tripped them up before. I've been there for countless guitar learners at the brink of frustration, transforming their challenges into triumphs with a fresh perspective and expert guidance.
